Our Story

Child Psychology of Long Island was founded in 2019, by Dr. Jacalyn Bruno, a clinical psychologist with a passion for helping children and their families overcome challenges that come their way. Dr. Bruno began her career as a school psychologist. She has experience in both public and private school settings from preschool to high school. Dr. Bruno left her job in the school setting with the goal of helping more kids and families, and being there as a more stable support across kids lives. We work with children and teens struggling with educational challenges, behavioral disorders and mental health issues such as anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, and Autism. Our goal is to offer a safe space, create trusting relationships and teach skills to help you and your family grow together.

Our Space

Our recently renovated office building in Patchogue, NY offers a warm inviting environment for children and  families. The building is secure and can accommodate large groups as needed. We have created a comfortable and cheerful space to help children feel at ease during therapy sessions.  Our new space features a secure outdoor area for group and summer programs or for clients who prefer to be outside. We look forward to seeing you here!
