Melanie De Jesus, Psy.D.
Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. De Jesus received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Long Island University–Post, and a Masters in Applied Psychology from Rutgers University. Dr. De Jesus has worked with children, adolescents, and families in various inpatient and outpatient settings. She provides a warm, supportive space where young people can explore their emotions, build coping skills, and strengthen relationships with the important people in their lives.
Dr. De Jesus takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) principles. She has experience providing individual therapy, group therapy, play therapy, and comprehensive psychological assessment and evaluations. In addition to her clinical training, Dr. De Jesus has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations and remains committed to culturally informed and evidence-based care. Fluent in English and conversational in Spanish, Dr. De Jesus enjoys collaborating with parents and caregivers to better understand each child’s unique strengths and challenges, and to support healthy emotional development and behavioral change.
