Josette Tugander, Psy.D.

Dr. Tugander is a postdoctoral psychologist who provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and psychoeducational assessments. Her work helps children, adolescents, and families better understand learning profiles, emotional and behavioral needs, and access appropriate supports such as IEPs, 504 Plans, and OPWDD services. Dr. Tugander earned her Psy.D. in School Psychology from St. John’s University and is a nationally certified school psychologist currently completing her training toward full licensure as a New York State psychologist. She is particularly passionate about working with neurodiverse and twice-exceptional learners and tailors each evaluation to the child’s individual strengths, needs, and interests.
